Each semester take the time to highlight and celebrate a few instructors, this semester we we'd like to celebrate Lani Gorzeman!
How long have you been teaching at Fusion?
Since the beginning, from the fall session of 2008. So I am starting my 13th year with Fusion.
What instrument do you teach and how long have you been playing that instrument?
I teach the keyboard/piano. I started my lessons when I was 6 years old and then after 10 years of lessons, at the age of 16, I began playing piano and organ for church services. I played for my cousins wedding at the age of 16. So that gives me about 40 plus years of playing after my lessons. Wow :)
What do you like most about teaching at Fusion?
I love to see my students understand and play a song that they have been learning. Some of them sing along as they play. That's a beautiful way to worship! Also to see them succeed and master their recital song, and play alongside the worship band, then they can hear the whole sound of all that they have practiced so hard for. That's a teachers reward!
